The Summer I Saved the World in 65 Days

The Summer I Saved the World in 65 Days is a great short summer read for YA. If you are looking for something to do over the summer this book might be helpful.

In this story, Nina Ross is feeling lost and lonely. Her grandma just died, her parents work so much she barely sees them, her brother is always busy, and her friends are too into boys and makeup to do anything fun. Nina doesn't know what her thing is or what she is going to do over the summer to stay busy.

Then Nina thinks of a plan. She knows there are only 65 days of summer and why not use this time to do something kind. Her plan is to secretly do one small deed for each of her neighbors. She has to be smart though because she doesn't want to blow her cover. Along the way, Nina uncovers many secrets about her family and her neighbors. She also finds herself crushing on the boy next door.

I really enjoyed this book and hope you do too.
